OUR STORY

The Golden Age of Persian Fashion

Love Zainab was born from a fixation with a "forgotten" chapter of Persian fashion history, the remarkable era of the 1960s and 70s when Afghanistan and Iran experienced an unprecedented modernisation. During this era, the streets of Kabul and Tehran bloomed with vibrant Persian fashion, where contemporary silhouettes and cultural motifs danced in perfect harmony.

Fashion of this time marked possibility and progress. Afghan and Iranian women walked confidently in flowing mini-dresses alongside traditional garments, university campuses buzzed with creative energy, and fashion became a language of cultural and political expression.

Reimagining Persian artistry

Our designs are born from this fertile ground of historical inspiration and modern imagination. Each Love Zainab piece carries the DNA of that forgotten renaissance: the unrestrained use of colour that once painted Tehran and Kabul's streets, the intricate Persian motifs that spoke stories of artistic mastery, the bold silhouettes that demanded a new era of feminine expression.

Our designs speak in today's language of sustainable and ethical clothing. We honour what was, while envisioning what contemporary Persian-inspired fashion can become. This is fashion as cultural archaeology with each Love Zainab garment excavating beauty from a time when Persian artistry flourished in all its complexity: progressive yet rooted, bold yet graceful, and unapologetically sophisticated.
