Reimagining Persian artistry

At Love Zainab we are determined to support local artistry and the environment. Therefore, we partner with Australian manufacturers who are aligned with our sustainability ethos and commitment to quality. As we are strong supporters of the slow fashion movement, our pieces are designed with art and longevity in mind.

ARTIST'S PICK

  • Commitment to sustainability

Our founder, an environmental lawyer, has made it her mission to integrate leading sustainable principles in the manufacturing process. Where possible, we utilise ethically-sourced up-cycled materials, we have localised our manufacturing to minimise emissions, and we ensure our manufacturing partners are compliant with fair work and health standards. Therefore, the people we collaborate with are fairly remunerated, and the dyes and textiles we use are in accordance with strict environmental and health regulations.
  • In pursuit of art

The Love Zainab brand is driven by art, not trends. We believe trend-informed designs are one of the most destructive forces on the planet.
Our designs are borne from the creative vision of local artists who are inspired by their Persian heritage and unique lived experiences. Each garment is a tapestry of the artist's own creative insight while honouring the cultural artistic innovations seen in both Iran and Afghanistan.
  • Supporting community

Love Zainab, is not just a brand, but a community. Thanks to creatives who support our mission we have been able to continuously grow and evolve. Therefore, we are always seeking to collaborate with and platform local artists.
We believe fashion should be inclusive, therefore we offer a broad size range to accomodate all forms, and are committed to platform POC creatives.

We believe the journey to environmental excellence is a road paved on constant improvement. If you have any insight on how we could further build on our mission we would love to hear it.

Safia Tarzi was the dazzling force behind Afghanistan’s fashion renaissance in the 1960s, a visionary designer who turned Kabul’s streets into catwalks of cultural fusion. Blending the rich textures of traditional Afghan craftsmanship with the sleek silhouettes of Parisian modernity, Tarzi created a bold, rebellious style that embodied the golden age of Afghanistan’s cosmopolitan spirit. Her designs weren’t just clothes, they were statements: of freedom, femininity, and the electric energy of a country on the brink of transformation. Decades later, Tarzi remains an icon of what Afghan fashion once was and what it still dares to dream.

We aknowledge the traditional owners of country throughout Australia, and we acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures, and the elders past and present.
